Making music lessons fun

Music lessons should be something you look forward to—not just another after-school activity, but the best part of your week.

Our curriculum is crafted to help you learn your favourite instrument in a way that’s fun, flexible, and keeps you motivated.

Each book is packed with popular songs and exercises, with levels you can adjust to match your pace and skill—so you can learn your way.

Progress you can see (& wear!)

As they progress through the curriculum, students earn coloured Upbeat wristbands—like karate belts—by completing songs and exercises in their workbooks and passing a short test with their teacher.

Everyone starts with yellow and works their way up to the prestigious black wristband.

It’s a simple, exciting way to celebrate progress, build confidence, and keep the practice going at home—loved by kids and parents!

Got your own goals? No worries—we tailor lessons for HSC music, auditions, or whatever you’re working on.

The year ends with a relaxed, supportive performance where students can share what they've been working on with family and friends. It’s a chance to shine, build confidence, and celebrate how far they’ve come in a no-pressure environment.
